        "rendered": "<p>Pomegranate is rich in vitamins A, B, and C, as well as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and sodium. The entire pomegranate plant contains tannins and other substances that make it antibacterial, antiviral and astringent. The pericarp of its fruit contains tannins, gallic and ellagic acid, among others, which provides it with interesting properties for astringent cosmetic products and regulators of sebaceous secretion. Vitamin C is very important at the skin level, as it helps maintain the integrity of the collagen structure of the dermis, preventing and combating the skin symptoms of aging. The presence of vitamin E also increases the antioxidant activity of pomegranate for two reasons: \u2022 Antioxidant activity: reduction of the formation of lipoperoxides in the skin. The oxidation of highly unsaturated phospholipids in the cell membrane generates lipoperoxides that destabilize it and cause skin aging. \u2022 Antiradical activity: protects cells from free radicals released by lipoperoxides and which are involved in skin aging. Pomegranate is useful for cosmetic products with photo-protective activity and protection of the skin&#8217;s DNA. On the other hand, the anti-inflammatory activity is due in part to the vitamin E content.<\/p>",
