Apare sub form\u0103 de pulbere microcristalin\u0103 sau amorf\u0103, alb\u0103, f\u0103r\u0103 particule nisipoase, galben pal, galben-verzui sau galben-cenu\u0219iu, inodor \u0219i f\u0103r\u0103 gust. Foarte u\u0219or solubil \u00een ap\u0103 \u0219i alcool; lent \u0219i de obicei incomplet solubil \u00een 2p. de disulfur\u0103 de carbon.
