It appears as white, pearly, unctuous, somewhat translucent masses, with a scaly-crystalline structure, odorless or with a mild odor and barely perceptible sweet taste. Practically insoluble in water and trio alcohol, soluble in 20p. of hot alcohol, 2.5p. of chloroformoy 7p. of ether.
